Greetings Phoenix Family!

It is with great pleasure and pride that I welcome you to the 2024-2025 school year at
Mayo High School for Math, Science, & Technology. As we embark on this new
academic journey, we carry forward the spirit of excellence that has defined the history
of our school, highlighted by our recent accolades: an EXCELLENT rating from the
South Carolina Department of Education, the esteemed designation of Palmetto's Finest
2021, and the prestigious National Blue Ribbon School award 2018.

We are also incredibly proud of the members of the Class of 2024, who have set a high
standard by earning a remarkable $19.1 million in scholarship funding. This
achievement reflects the hard work, dedication, and perseverance of our students, staff,
and community.

Our goals for this year are ambitious but attainable with our collective effort:

• 100% Passing End-of-Course Examinations (C or better)
• 100% On-time Graduation
• 100% College and Career Readiness
• 100% Earning at least one SC Seals of Distinction
• 100% Earning SC HOPE, LIFE, or Palmetto Fellows Scholarships**
• 100% Deeply Involved in Civic, Community, Extracurricular, or Athletic Organizations
• of Their Choice

Our school motto, "Hard Work Pays Off," continues to drive our actions and aspirations.
We believe in fostering a culture of family, trust, honor, respect, and integrity. These
values underpin our efforts to create an environment where every student can thrive.

This year's theme, "Excellence Reloaded" signifies our commitment to surpassing our
past successes by continually striving for excellence in all that we do. We will build on
our strong foundation and work together to ensure that every student achieves their
fullest potential.

As we begin this school year, I encourage all stakeholders—students, parents,
teachers, and community members—to actively participate in and support our
endeavors. Your involvement has been crucial to our success, and together, we can
make this year extraordinary.
