The Mayo honoree for the month of December is Kelly Long, Science teacher.  Thanks for all you do for our school and students everyday!

Winter Blood Drive

On Friday, December 1, our Student Council held it's annual Winter Blood Drive.  We collected 23 usable pints of blood!  KUDOS to Ms. Jill Knight and Student Council for sponsoring the event.

Eastern District Honor Band
On Monday, December 4 Eastern District Honor Band held auditions at HMS.  Congratulations to the following students:

December Career Cafè

On Tuesday, December 5 we held our monthly Career Cafè.  Our Career Specialist, Mrs. Quanketa Davis, hosted the owners of Alfreda Smalls & Joshua J. Chapelle Studio.  The students were able to listen to the two business owners and cosmetologists.

Pee Dee Math Tournament

On Tuesday, December 5, Mrs. Sharon Cox took several of our Mayo math students to participate in the Pee Dee Math Tournament hosted by FMU.  Congratulations to Riley Gibson for being our school's highest scorer at the tournament!

District's Christmas Celebration

On Wednesday, December 6 Mr. Cole Davis took a select group of choral students to perform at the District's Christmas Celebration.  What an honor!!

HOLIDAY DREAMS

On Thursday night, December 7 our Music Department held it's Christmas Concert in the gym at 6:30 PM.  Kudos to Mr. Cole Davis for putting together this spectacular 'dreamy' night to start the holiday season!

Winter Spirit Week

December 11-15
Each day an "elf" will be named the "most spirited", and the "elves" that helped spread holiday cheer for all to hear will be named next Friday, Dec 15!!
