November Teacher Feature Winner

Ms. Lunn
Congraulations Ms. Paulette Lunn!  Ms. Lunn is an English/Drama teacher at Mayo High School for MST.  The Darlington County School District's Teacher Forum announced recently the Teacher Feature winners for November.  The program recognizes one teacher from each school to honor excellence in education.  The purpose of the Teacher Forum is to foster professional growth and teacher leadership.  

The Teacher Feature program is sponsored by Better Homes and Gardens Segars Realty.  Honorees receive free meals at local restaurants and recognition in their schools.


Interactive Career Fair

On Friday, November 2, our Sophomore class traveled to DCIT to tour and her about the different programs leading to careers that they offer.  Students attend DCIT during their Junior and Senior years.

Fall Spirit Week

During our annual Spirit Week students were definitely involved and had funning dressing up every day.  Here are a few highlights.

Monday, November 5 was Mayo Spirit Day

Thursday, November 8 was Super Day and our Fall Festival

"The Door" Drama Production
The Door
On Thursday, November 1 and Friday, November 2 our Drama Club and Ms. Paulette Lunn presented the annual Drama Production in the Mayo gymnasium.  It was entitled "The Door".  Our Drama Club has been invited to attend a week long seminar in Scotland this summer and they are raising funds towards that goal.  The production was a great and one to be remembered!  Kudos to Ms. Paulette Lunn!

Veterans Day Program

Our annual Veterans Day Celebration will be held on Friday, November 9 at 10:45 AM in the Conference Center.  The celebration is sponsored by the Social Studies Department with presentations from the Drama and Music Departments.  We will also have the flag ceremony done by the DCIS JROTC. 

Please join us as we honor and recognize those who have served our country.
