School Registration
 
Mayo registration was held in our new Conference Center on Monday, July 31 through Wednesday, August 16, 2017. Students received their schedules, made new ID's, paid fees, ordered yearbooks, and checked out their MacBooks. Mayo Ambassadors were a great help. We had a great turnout! |
First Day of School
Students arrived back on Thursday, August 17. It was great to see all the smiling returning students, hearing about their summer vacations and activities!

STEM Premier Rollout for Freshmen
On Thursday, August 24 the Freshmen were introduced and enrolled in the STEM Premier Program online. This is an online portfolio tool that can be updated regularly to help students when applying for colleges, scholarships, and jobs. They can even continue access to it after graduation! |
Back to School Bash
 

Welcome back! Friday, August 29 the Student Council sponsored the Annual Back to School Bash. Students joined together in the newly renovated gym to celebrate being back in school. A friendly class spirit competition was held, music, dancing and FOOD! Thank you to our sponsor for this event, SPC, Credit Union of Hartsville, who make this possible!

Solar Eclipse!

On Monday, August 21 students were out to school to watch the Solar Eclipse! The district provided students with a pair of eclipse viewing glasses to protect their eyes while viewing the eclipse. |

Our first of many monthly Career Cafes. Dr. Leslie Been is a psychiatrist and was our first speaker. This will be a recurring monthly event that Mrs. Quanketa Davis, our Career Specialist, puts together. Students are invited to attend the sessions.

Ed-Op Day At Frances Marion University
 
Frances Marion University sponsored Ed-Op Day on Tuesday, August 29. Over 100 Seniors and Juniors dressed in their best and presented themselves proudly for college recruiters in the state. |
Chart Your Course Supper
On Thursday, August 31 Mayo sponsored the annual Chart Your Course Supper for our Sophomore and Freshmen students to discuss high school planning and goal setting, GPA, scholarship opportunities, being tech savvy, and home/school strategies. Approximately 50 were in attendance. |
