Hall of Fame 2012 

The Class of 2012 was honored on May 8 at SiMT at Florence-Darlington Technical College.  Our graduating seniors earned over $2.9 Million in scholarships.  At this ceremonious event our Hall of Fame was announced.  This year’s Hall of Fame awardees are Taylor Schultz, Jordan Lawrence, Julia Crabtree, Shelley Ray, Kourtney Willard, George Atkins, Jordan Braddock,  Josh Milligan, Aaleeyah Roary, and KaylynnWells.  The Heart of the Phoenix, our highest accolade was received by George Atkins, Jr.

Mayo High School for Math, Science & Technology is a county-wide public four-year magnet high school.  The curriculum provides unique academic programs for qualified students with special interests, talents and ambitions.  The school offers motivated students the opportunity to combine strong academics with specialized instruction in the areas of math, science, and the technologies while offering enhanced courses in the humanities.

Our school has the 5th highest average SAT score in the state & was awarded the Palmetto Gold Award for 2011-2012.

At Mayo's annual Academic Banquet students receive accolades for their accomplishments.  Students receiving the George Atkins Scholarship this year are William Jordan, Ashley Patterson, Samantha Martrano, George Atkins,Jr. & Dalton Odom.  This year's Distinguished Scholarship Awards were awarded to Julia Crabtree, Amber Chaplin, Alexandria Curtis, Ashton Preslar, Katie Wyrick and George Atkins, Jr.
